Its symbolism varies according to the culture that uses it.

The pentagram is a powerful symbol, associated from the earliest times with magic and the occult. Although probably the star goes back to the ancient Babylon, to the Sumerians, this one sinks its roots in the oldest, Egyptian and Greek beliefs, that later will be inherited to the Hebrew world after their captivity and these to the Christian world: the star represents with A thread of continuity, the life after death, the step beyond matter.
